Common environmental pathogens for food and dietary supplement manufacturers include salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes.  Many food and dietary supplement recalls occur due to the presence of environmental pathogens detected by the FDA within a food or dietary supplement manufacturing facility, or in the product itself.
